Therapy for Men in Boulder, Louisville, and across Colorado via telehealth

For a lot of men, asking for help is not easy

Maybe you've been taught to push through, stay busy, or figure things out on your own. Maybe you've become the person everyone else relies on, leaving little space to acknowledge what's happening for you internally. Or maybe you've reached a point where what used to work simply isn't working anymore.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, grieving, angry, exhausted, or like you've lost your footing, therapy can offer a place to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

At In Bloom Psychotherapy, we believe therapy isn't about changing who you are. It's about creating space to better understand yourself, process what you've been carrying, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and meaningful.

Meet Jonathan, a male therapist at In Bloom Psychotherapy who specializes in working with men

Therapy doesn't have to look the way you think

You don't have to carry it all alone

Many men hesitate to start therapy because they imagine sitting in an office being asked to talk about their feelings for an hour.

That's not our approach.

Therapy is a conversation—not an interrogation. Some sessions may involve processing emotions and feeling the sensations in your body, while others focus on understanding patterns, navigating difficult relationships, making decisions, or learning practical ways to respond differently to stress.

You don't have to know exactly what to say.

You don't need the "right words."

You don't even have to be sure why you're reaching out.

You simply have to show up.

At In Bloom Therapy, we create a space where you can be honest without feeling judged, pressured, or expected to become someone you're not.

Therapy does not require a crisis

Many of the men we work with are not falling apart, they are high functioning.

Many men find us because they want something to change BEFORE they reach the point of falling apart.

You might be struggling with:

  • Feeling emotionally disconnected or numb

  • Grief or life transitions

  • Trauma that's still impacting your relationships or daily life

  • Stress and anxiety that shows up as irritability, anger, overthinking, or perfectionism

  • Burnout from constantly pushing yourself

  • Difficulty connecting emotionally with partners or loved ones

  • Change in identity after an accident in the backcountry

  • LGBTQIA challenges

  • The pressure to always have it together

You don't have to wait until things get worse before reaching out, and you don't need a diagnosis or a crisis to deserve support.

You've always been the one holding it together

Many men learn early that strength means staying composed, solving problems, and taking care of everyone else.

Those qualities can be incredibly valuable.

But when you're always focused on getting through the next challenge, it can become difficult to notice what you need.

Over time, stress has a way of showing up in places we don't expect—in our relationships, our work, our health, our patience, or our ability to enjoy the things we once loved.

Therapy isn't about taking away your resilience.

It's about helping you carry life's challenges without losing yourself in the process.

Therapy for Life's Hardest Seasons

Life has a way of changing us.

Sometimes it's the loss of someone you love. Sometimes it's a relationship ending, becoming a parent, an unexpected transition, career stress, or experiences that continue to affect you long after they've happened.

Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone.

At In Bloom Psychotherapy, Jonathan has extensive experience supporting men through grief, trauma, difficult life transitions, and the lasting impact of overwhelming experiences.

Jonathan has a special interest in working with athletes, first responders, artists, and people in the queer community. Whether you're navigating an injury, a shift in identity, or the pressure to keep performing, therapy can help you reconnect with who you are beyond what you do.
